Antimony

Antimony in its elemental state is a silvery-white metallic metal. It is said that antimony has been used since ancient times. Antimony is a poor electric and heat conductor and vaporizes at low temperatures. Antimony has many uses especially in the industrial field. It’s main use is a hardener in lead for batteries. Other uses of antimony include: antifriction alloys, type metal, small arms and tracer bullets, and cable sheathing. Antimony compounds have many uses such as flame retardants, paint pigments, plastics, rubber, and textiles. Antimony is toxic to humans. In small doses antimony causes headaches, dizziness and depression. Larger doses of antimony causes vomiting and death after a few days. In my opinion, I think we should continue using antimony, because it has many great uses.
